Giorgetti: opening the first Monobrand in New York

On the occasion of NYCxDesign, the most important US event dedicated to the world of design, Atelier Giorgetti New York opens in the heart of Manhattan. An exclusive address for the new space that aims to offer a total experience in the world of Giorgetti.

In the year of its 125th anniversary, Giorgetti consolidates its international presence with theopening of new prestigious showrooms that offer the opportunity to experience the Group’s unique approach to design. A few weeks after the inauguration in Milan of the innovative concept of “Giorgetti Spiga – The Place”, the company flies to the heart of the Big Apple. On the occasion of NYCxDesign, the most important US event dedicated to design scheduled from 18 to 25 May, the company unveils the new Atelier Giorgetti New York, a 1000 square metre Penthouse in the heart of Manhattan.

A lively and pulsating metropolis where everything happens, New York represents a fundamental stage in the brand’s important development strategy in the North American market, where the company is already present with three monobrands in Boston, Houston and Los Angeles. A path that will see in 2023 theopening of two more new stores in Miami and Washington DC, with the aim of reaching a clientele extremely sensitive to the high quality of Made in Italy design.

Immersed in the vibrant atmosphere of NoMad, one of Manhattan‘s most exclusive neighbourhoods, the new address is located on the top two floors of a historic building between 5th and 34th Street. A penthouse of 600 square metres that, thanks to an incredible rooftop of another 400 square metres, enjoys a complete view of the world’s most beautiful skyline and a breathtaking view of the Empire State Building. Here the brand’s outdoor collections are showcased in agreen oasis in the heart of the city, designed in collaboration with landscape designer James Doyle. A real flat, intimate and reserved, that develops in the different living, dining and sleeping areas, up to the outdoor area, where a selection of the proposals of the 2023 collection cohabits with the Giorgetti icons.

A space conceived to intercept the world of New York architects and developers, showing them the Group’s ability to design not only the single object, but to go further by extending to the environment. Thanks to a production process managed internally at all stages, Giorgetti conceives and designs complete architectural spaces capable of offering its customers a total interior design project. A mission that is recounted through asensorial experience in the world of Giorgetti, in a space where the company marks the culture of design and surrounds itself with beauty and art.

This union is celebrated in the new space through a site-specific workof art by the artist David Paul Kay: a full-height mural on the internal staircase connecting with the rooftop which, through intricate lines and compositions rich in detail, transforms the surface, immersing the visitor in a complex narrative of strong impact. A project born from the partnership with curator Kypton Cronkite, who brings to the new Giorgetti house the works of many other acclaimed international artists such as Chaaban Designs, Alexandria Hilfiger, Shay Kun, Brandon Lomax, Karin Mørch, Tom O’Connor, Rotem Reshef . The liaison with Oblong Contemporary Art Gallery also continues, thanks to which the Atelier hosts an exclusive selection of the harmonious and essential sculptures by Colombian master Gustavo Vélez. The Penthouse in New York thus becomes a place that offers a privileged glimpse of the Giorgetti universe, recounting not only its creative and design capacity but also its natural propensity to dialogue with different creative worlds, opening up to new suggestions.
